Barrie, cashmere fashion brand, was founded in 1903, initially making stockings and later extending its offering to clothing, in particular knitwear. The factory is based in Scotland but the designers are based in Paris. Despite the distance, the designers have ensured to incorporate inspiration from the surrounding natural elements of Scotland as part of their designs. The Artistic Director of the House of Barrie, Augustin Dol-Maillot, has brought a youthful touch to the brand, incorporating his street style aesthetics mixed with classis cuts. An example of this includes the oversized pullover designs and loose cashmere jackets which came on our fashion radar.

Barrie’s Autumn Winter Cashmere Collection
All Barrie items are made of cashmere, usually 100% cashmere, although their new autumn winter collection consists of some pieces that are a mix of fluffy cashmere and soft lamb’s wool. This is to add more structure to the garments. This collection also consists of a “denim” series, featuring versatile denim style jackets and trousers but in soft cashmere. Swathed in a playful houndstooth kelly green pattern, their autumn winter collection gives the perfect blend of comfortable and style.
Deni’s Fashion Picks
Deni’s fashion picks include several co-ords that can be worn together for an effortless look or as separates including a cozy mini skit with a matching cream jacket. Deni wore a black set (jacket and trousers) that resembles a Chanel look, which she loved. Both garments are made of a combination of cashmere and cotton.
