Spring has officially arrived and it’s time to get our wardrobes ready for the new season. Personal stylist Deni Kiro shares her insider style tips for a spring wardrobe detox.
“Being organised is the key to success! It’s often what we hold on to that holds us back. If you want to improve your life immediately, start with clearing out your wardrobe.”
Spring Wardrobe Detox
The first and most important step to transition into spring is is to clear out your existing wardrobe. Pack your winter clothes and store them away (ideally on a remote upper shelf) to make space for the new spring outfits. In an ideal scenario, your wardrobe should be made out of 70% trans-seasonal clothes and 30% seasonal pieces. What makes a clothing trans-seasonal? It’s the fabric & the silhouette. The trans-seasonal pieces are the tailored jackets, blouses and skirts made out of light fabrics such as cotton, viscose and satin. For example, a skirt is considered trans-seasonal if you can style it from winter to summer with ease. Go through every single item in your wardrobe and classify it into one of the three categories – keep, update or donate. If you need help with clearing out your wardrobe, you can book our most popular service Wardrobe Cleanse Home Visit. Your personal stylist will create outfits with the beautiful clothes you already own and help you organize and maximize your wardrobe. By the end of the session, you will be utilizing 100% of your own clothes.

During a Wardrobe Cleanse session, your stylist creates betspring wardrobe detoxween 40 to 120 outfit options out of your wardrobes. Making flatlays of the outfits is an efficient way to keep your wardrobe organized – photograph your clothes with accessories and two options for shoe – a comfortable daytime pair of flats and a smarter pair of heels.

Seasonal Style Updates
Refresh your spring style with new seasonal items. Choose the spring-summer trends that resonate with your style personality and pair them with your old favourites. Try to stick to a colour palette when shopping for a seasonal wardrobe to ensure you can mix & matches and restyle your clothes. Always aim to invest in quality over quantity – it’s better to have 1 dress that you adore rather than 3 dresses that you like but don’t love. With our new Online Personal Styling sessions, all you need to do is purchase the items your stylist recommends for you. We send you the links, you purchase online and try the clothes in the comfort of your home while we advise you on the styling via FaceTime. No need to waste time shopping online, go out or visit shops.
Alternatively, why don’t you join our two-day Spring Wardrobe Detox Masterclass where your personal stylist will work with you to get your wardrobe ready for the new season.
